— Breakfast at the hotel, then depart San Sebastián and travel west along Spain's beautiful coastline.

— Arrive in Bilbao free time for lunch under own arrangement, followed by a visit to the Guggenheim Museum, considered one of the world's greatest architectural expressions. Artists featured include Chagall, Kandinsky, Matisse and Picasso.

— Evening at Leisure. Overnight in Bilbao

— Travel to Santillana del Mar, one of Spain's most beautiful medieval villages. Stroll its cobbled lanes and view the Romanesque Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana. Lunch at Local restaurant

— Continue to Covadonga with free time to view the Sanctuary and the Patroness of Asturias our lady of Covadonga.

— Afternoon departure to Oviedo, where the hills reveal visit of Saint Maria de Naranco Church, a jewel of pre-Romanesque Asturian architecture.

— Free time in largely pedestrian Oviedo, including World Heritage sites such as the Cathedral, a splendid example of Gothic Asturian architecture.

— Travel west into Galicia, stopping in Mondoñedo to admire its 13th-century cathedral and sample its renowned almond cake. (on own).

— Visit Lugo to see its remarkably preserved Roman walls encircle the old city and stand today as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at local restaurant in Lugo

— Continue journey through Galicia's rolling and verdant landscapes to Santiago de Compostela, the final destination of the Camino de Santiago and a symbol of spiritual pilgrimage.

— Half day City tour of Santiago visiting the grand Cathedral of Santiago, afterwards view believed to house the remains of St James the Apostle.

— After breakfast, transfer to the station and board AVLO train to Madrid, traversing the country's diverse interior landscapes.

— On arrival in the Spanish capital, transfer to your hotel.

— The rest of the day is yours to begin exploring Madrid's grand boulevards, plazas and neighborhoods.

— Please note guests are responsible to carry their own luggage on the train.
