In the morning we’ll go on a walking tour of Stockholm. Starting in downtown Stockholm, we’ll make our way to Gamla Stan (old town). Strolling through the narrow medieval streets, we’ll pass the Royal Palace, Parliament, churches and scenic buildings. We’ll end the walking tour by taking the ferry to Djurgården and visiting the Nordiska Museum (admission included).

After your visit there, you’ll have free time to choose among the many museums in Djurgården, including the Vasa Ship Museum, the Skansen (the world's oldest open-air museum) and the Abba Museum. Returning to the hotel is easy, via either a ride on the Tram or a scenic walk passing through many shops.

In the morning we’ll travel by coach to take our flight to Copenhagen. After arriving and checking in at our central hotel, we’ll do a walking tour of Downtown Copenhagen before having dinner at our hotel

After breakfast, we’ll make the short walk to the Denmark’s National Museum, which houses one of Europe’s best collections of Iron and Viking Age artifacts. The afternoon will be free to explore Copenhagen on your own, perhaps visiting the nearby Glyptoteket Art Museum, taking a scenic canal boat trip, or shopping on Strøget, Copenhagen’s famous pedestrian street. You may want to go to nearby Tivoli Gardens this evening either for dinner or to just enjoy its gardens and rides.

This morning we’ll leave for an excursion to the Kronborg Castle, taking the scenic route along the coast north of Copenhagen. Situated in the town of Elsinore, across the narrow straight separating Denmark and Sweden, Kronborg Castle was the setting for Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. After a tour of the castle, we’ll visit the Danish Maritime Museum.

After lunch and free time on your own in Elsinore, we’ll make our way back to Copenhagen and board our ship for an overnight cruise to Oslo, including a buffet dinner onboard.

In the morning we’ll sail into the Oslo Fjord. After disembarking, we’ll go to Oslo’s iconic Opera House and walk up its glacier-like roof for a stunning view of the Bjørvika Harbor and all of the new development going on.

We’ll then do a walking tour of downtown Oslo, ending up in Oslo’s main harbor area to visit the National Museum. There we’ll see many famous paintings by Edvard Munch, including “The Scream”, as well as paintings from the Norwegian National Romantic era depicting vistas that we’ll see in Western Norway.

After time for lunch and free time on your own, we’ll make our way to the mountains and the major ski resort of Geilo, where we’ll spend the next two nights. Dinner will be at our mountain resort hotel.

On this day, we’ll take the “Norway in a Nutshell” tour, starting with a train ride from Geilo to Myrdal and then transferring to the Flåm Railway, considered to be one of the top train journeys in the world. From Flåm we’ll have a two-hour fjord cruise to Gudvangen, taking in two of the most scenic fjords in Norway on the way. Then we’ll drive over the mountains and back to our hotel in Geilo for dinner.

In the morning we’ll depart Geilo and make our way back to Oslo. Before getting to the center of the city, we’ll make a photo stop of the towering Holmenkollen Ski Jump and a walk through the Vigeland Sculpture Park.

In Oslo, you’ll have time for lunch on your own and walking tour ending back at your hotel in the afternoon. You’ll have some free time for shopping or sightseeing on your own before our farewell dinner this evening.
